In Bailey (Roland Valley) looking for an awesome local vet that works with alpacas. We can bring alpacas to vet or if price is right, vet comes to the alpacas. 4 male alpacas. Mostly routine items like shots, chipping, able to field questions on the phone, emergency services in future. We also have 2 large (150+ lbs) female LGDs that stay with the alpacas so would be nice to find one vet to assist as needed for the whole gang. Recommendations/contact info is welcome. PM/Reply if you got something. Thanks!

I agree with Aspen Creek Vet for livestock/farm animals.

But since you are in Bailey, you might want to call CrowHill vet as well. (303) 838-4677

They do some livestock too: chickens, rabbits & goats but not sure what else.
They use to do local "house calls" too (extra fee), but not sure how big a radius is considered "local".

Both vets can take care of your LGDs too.

My friend with alpacas and LGDs uses Golden Animal Hospital for her herd and one dog that won’t leave the property. She lives closer to Morrison though.
She uses Sano for the other dog and her cats.
Most vets won’t do a farm visit for dogs, according to her.

Dr. Norton, Circle of Animals in Evergreen will do a ranch call for dogs. We use her for our LGD's. I do know she treats horses but not sure about the alpacas. http://www.coanimals.com/index.php#about

I second the Aspen Creek Vet recommendation and know that they do treat alpacas.

I sent your question over to a friend that raises alpacas for a long time up here. I sent her the link, so hopefully she will reply. Rivendale Farms

We've always used Golden Animal Hospital (17 years now), both Doc Gary and Doc Donna have extensive camelid knowledge. Will either come to the farm or you can take animals down, they've got an excellent surgical set up if needed, but for me the main thing is their experience and knowledge.
