I still just can believe it. She was well loved by her communities. :rose:

I went to the Bear Creek High School FB page and read the post and all the replies from Cyndy's colleagues and the students.
She touched so many people. The currant students comments and those that are many years graduated all express similar sentiments of how much she loved her job and her kids. I cant think of a more worthy calling then to have a positive impact on the life of child.

Among the posts I found this recent one and hope I am not over stepping to share it, but thought our members may need time to plan:

" There will be a viewing at Horan & McConaty at 3101 S Wadsworth Blvd from 4-7pm this Wednesday March 20th. Services will be held in April. Everyone is welcome; Cyndy loved BCHS."

I'm so sorry for your loss, Printsmith. Like others, I did not know Cyndy, but always enjoyed her posts. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

No, Jo, you didn't overstep your bounds. You acted in everyone's best interest based on the information that was available. I'm perhaps a little tardy in getting the information out myself and for that I apologize to all of you.

The informal viewing scheduled for Wednesday is exactly that, an informal viewing. Due to family considerations, including the wedding of our nephew on the 31st of the month, Cyndy's funeral will not occur until the month of April. When those arrangements are finalized I will post them so that any who wish to attend may do so. I didn't think it reasonable to ask her family to travel to Colorado for a funeral one week and to California the next for the wedding, so I chose to do an informal viewing next week for the school community, a memorial service for Cyndy in her hometown on the 23rd so more of her family could participate in saying a final good-bye, and postpone the formal funeral proceedings until the following month, date to be determined.

The informal viewing is a consideration for the students and staff at BCHS so that they wouldn't have to put their grief on hold for an extended period of time while trying to focus on the educational process. For anyone planning to attend the informal viewing, please know that I expect to see more high school students than adults, especially early on, as the viewing starts shortly after school lets out for the day. Of course all are welcome, but I want those thinking of coming that day to be well informed on what awaits them upon their arrival. :)

God bless you all for your kindness to Cyndy and myself over the years and your understanding during this difficult time. I promise that I will post the funeral arrangements when I have had an opportunity to finalize them for those who would prefer not to be around a mass of grieving teenagers on Wednesday and still wish to say a final farewell to Cyndy.

There no such thing as tardy under the circumstances. All these plans and their intentions show care and consideration for all impacted by Cyndy's passing, that's who you are.
Thank you, Bill. We continue to surround you in prayer. :rose:
