What a fantastic storm to help with snow pack! I’m curious to our yet snow totals on Conifer Mountain. I wish we had a “moisture meter” that we could watch week to week to gauge how we are doing vs the average snowfall/rain.

Weather Geek, you’re the best and I really appreciate everything you do as I do alter my travel for work based on your input.

Once again thank you so much WG!!!!!!!

This storm puts our seasonal snowfall total at 121 inches on Conifer Mountain, which is above average. Our average through the end of March is 113 inches, and we have more snow chances coming in the second half of March, and then April is our snowiest month of the year where we average around 35 inches. All of the latest climate models suggest CO will have above average precipitation from March through May. This will likely end most drought conditions across the state, which is very good news.

Lower fire risk would be fantastic!

I guess I'm a little bummed. Split extra wood for stove, moved car to bottom of the drive preparing for feet of snow, and what did we get here in the hills between Cheyenne & Laramie WY? A few inches. It was whiteout, to be sure, but it mostly blew down the hill to the east. Wimp storm. At least I had the newest CJ Box book to read. More ice than I usually see here and drifts are around 2-3 feet, but mostly there's not much actual snow.
