My heart aches for you Jane - we get our Daisy's ashes today at 6 pm - it is so hard. I'm thinking of you Jane and hurting for you.

Hugs to you, Nancy. It is not easy losing a family member. You and Jo have lost sons. You have both been so strong in the face of this. I value your friendship.

I have not been able to post any updates until now. Since March, we have lost Miko, Mojo, and Boo Boo. That is just 5 months. I have not lost a pet since 2001, so this was new to me. I was with each holding them. They left in love.

this was when Miko first arrived in Dec 2008. Before Mojo decided she was his nemesis and I had to separate them. Miko up top, Boo Boo on left, Mojo on right.

Image

Miko had asthma and could no longer breathe on her own and we let go in March. We think she was about 15 (she was a rescue so we do not know).

Mojo had bone cancer on his chin and his health was failing. I let him go before something really tragic happened on August 8th. Mojo would have been 17 on August 25th.

Boo Boo was blind and deaf (he also had kidney and heart issues) and he lost his compass when his buddy was gone. His health went downhill fast and I let him go on August 24th. He would have been 19 on Sept 19th.

Mojo and Boo Boo. I got Mojo about 18 months after I got Boo Boo, so he was 2 years younger. Once they bonded, they were inseparable.

I do not have regrets about letting them go. It was time for each of them. I miss them all terribly. It is so odd to just have two kitties in the house now. Albe and Cassi. But that is how it will be. I start thinking about my age (65 in December) and the ages of my pets and want to make sure that they don't end up without a place to go if I should go before them. I am going to make a living will to ensure they will be cared for, just in case.

hugs to my little chocolate ones. I love and miss you so much.

I am so sorry Wily. It doesn't get easier, I know.

We are of a similar age and we too have wills that look after our three should we go first.

Ang, sharing your grief is part of the healing and I'm very heartened that you have chosen to do so now. I sat with these loses debating on whether or not to let our friends here know about your heavy burden with MoJo and Boo-boo's passings so close together and so soon after Miko. You have my heart in all of this and thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures of part of your lvely little family.

thank you, Jo.
You were the only one who knew besides Dr Krys and Georgia and Megan (at the Vets). I was just not ready to share until today. Thank you for being there with me and giving me things to think about so I have no regrets.
hugs,
ang
