To confirm the info in that post:

CDOT Travel Center - Guanella Pass

Quote:

Guanella Pass Road is closed at Naylor Lake on the Clear Creek County side and Burning Bear Campground on the Park County side.

The Guanella Pass Road information line at 303-679-2422, ext. 2, is available for updates.

CDOT claims it’s open. Has anyone physically been up there?

In case anyone cares, I talked to Clear Creek County and it is open from Georgetown to Grant.

Thanks oesrw01, obviously the CDOT page I linked to above was not correct. I appreciate the "in person" update.

Does anyone know if you can get to the top of Bierstadt without fighting snow on the trail?

Only with a helicopter or parachute.

Wheeee! Paraskiing! I saw a photo of Trail Ridge Road last week and roads were plowed. Compared to the people standing in front of the drift, it looked 15' to 20' high. Is Mt. Evans open yet? I love the spring alpine flowers up there.

I saw on the news yesterday that the Mt. Evans road is open. However, bundle up as it is still winter up there with ahole lot of snow. People are skiing and cross country skiing up there! It is going to be quite a while before and flowers begin to appear. Maybe mid-July? Just a guess.
