Amen beachrobin stay off them roads! Do you have weather blowing in today? We're supposed to get snow/rain tomorrow and Wed. Blah! The aspens still aren't out and I'm not planting ANYTHING until they bud.
Daisy--it's just me and the puppy and she's not old enough yet to work. Just a ranch hand at heart--after you take care of 2 horses at home, you can do just about anything! Anyway, the deer just eat my flowers. Altho I did pound T-posts a few weeks ago to make a fenced in area for flowers etc. if the chipmunks, pocket gophers and meadow voles will leave them alone. How do you keep critters away from your plants?

I live in Pueblo - we lived up in Pine for 20 years - retired and moved away in 2017. I live on the very edge of town - prairie on 3 sides of my home. I do still have deer that eat my flowers here - BUT not as bad as in the mountains. No other critters that I've noticed to eat flowers here. :D We have beautiful meadowlarks that visit often as well as dozens of hummingbirds - even more than we got in the mountains! The only thing missing is our sweet Daisy that died almost 2 weeks ago :( We really do miss her terribly! We will get through it - everyone does. :dog:

We did not get to flowers, but we did plant a couple, really pretty types of pine trees! :D ...and we got rid of some junk and hung some family pictures. The Freelets are getting so big with the oldest moving towards 17 and the youngest to 9! 8O So thankful for the SUNshine yesterday (and today)!!

I'm FINALLY planting my garden. It has been way too cold to chance it earlier this year. I'm just hoping for an Indian Summer!

This isn't the best time of season, but I am sowing wildflower seeds. Only flowers that have grown on my property. I have this little flat place on the property where I want a wildflower meadow. They are deer and drought resistant too. I picked out each flower i want from the "Intermountain Wildflowers" section of

http://www.naturesseed.com .
