I am still here and doing ok. Today is four weeks since her death. I am having a bit of a hard time today. I am just trying to stay busy, it keeps me occupied and my mind off my grief. I have gone back to work, that also seems to help. I think what I miss most is her friendship / companionship. This unknown future that's before me is terrifying and I know I don't want to be alone for the rest of my life.

Well I got off my as_ and took the dogs out for a walk, somehow that helps as well. What a beautiful day, the dogs loved getting out and I found a little bit of my zen. I sat on a log near a creek and tried to take in all that was around me. I am grateful and humbled by the beauty that is all around us, I guess Kim was right, I just had to get out and take the time to really see it.

I think your 'new normal' is coming home to roost. Give yourself time, this is all new, somewhat scary and uncharted to you. Many of us understand. :(

Thinking of you this morning. Hoping the wind brought a little comfort your way.
Love abounds for you in Pinecam land.

Thank you for keeping this thread going, it really helps me to talk to you all. I have had some bad days, but some are good days. This past Saturday my family came up and helped me move and organize a boat load of stuff. I have gone back to work and that also helps keep me busy and my mind occupied. I have kept the greenhouse going and still have tomatoes that are producing. Quite a few flowers as well. I just put one foot in front of the other and keep going one day at a time.

You can't expect anymore from yourself than the bolded part. You're doing remarkably well - I admire your courage.
