My friend, Mary has frequented my heart during my assorted trials and challenges these past few years.
She was on my mind often yesterday. I think of her when reading the posts of mutual friends and took comfort in feeling how she might have responded or what she might have shared.
She is never far away from us.

Mary was a sweet, sweet person who will be missed. She passed away on my mom's birthday. April 24th will always be hard for me. Mary was a great friend to my mom. I know they are together in all their brightness shining down upon us. Love you both.

Well, Mary, it has been three years and I sense you here less and less. You are probably busy arranging events and support groups on the other side. We think of you often and remember your love and kindness.

Thank you, BGRs, for this loving remembrance. I have been thinking of Mary more and more these past few weeks. I definitely feel her sassy Sasser presence.
Love, PEACE and Blessings Always, Mary!

I was sifting and sorting through boxes this weekend and found Mary's house key. It has a purple cap on it. Of course it does.
I was the last to have it as part of the crew of friends and loved ones that helped Sophie sift and sort her home.
So I know she was here with me as I lightened my load. She didn't like to let go of things and neither do I.

Teagan drew a picture one day while we were visiting Mary as she recovered from her back injury. It was a picture of Mary's house and it hung on her fridge until the sorting day. Sophie gave it back to me with love and it has been on my fridge since. And now with the key.

it is the little things that mean the most, huh?
When my dad died and my sister and I were there to help mom go through stuff, all I wanted to remember him was this silly little nuts and bolts figure playing tennis. My dad played tennis a lot! I remember when my mom died and I was there to go through stuff before we had the estate lady come it to sell it and all I wanted to remember her was her pencil stub that she used to do the morning cross word puzzles. It was there on her table along with a jigsaw puzzle she was doing. Now the little tennis player holds the little pencil on a shelf in my office.
