That's so strange that a wild animal would leave the meat.

could be a racoon, they will bite the head off and sometimes eat just the entrails or nothing at all.

Don't understand people and their chickens. Your just sitting the table for predators to come to your house. Might as well hang a side of beef from your front porch and see if a bear or mountain lion comes calling. Maybe you can get your picture taken with them...LOL
Last time I checked King Sooper's had both Chicken and Eggs in the store. :rof laughing:

Why promote the horrible conditions in commercial poultry farms if you have the means and ability to give a few birds a wonderful life and give your family fantastic eggs?

The best eggs you can eat are from healthy happy chickens!

I've lived up here over 12 years and have been raising chickens for the past 3-4 years. I have seen no increased wildlife activity.

It is my understanding that:

Racoons don't like to eat chickens, they mostly just kill them for sport and to clear the way for their primary target, the eggs. Same with skunk.

Weasels like to drag their food to their den but often can't squeeze them through the small openings in which they got in. They won't eat chickens that are not a fresh kill.

Fox will come in and kill the entire flock (for fun) and then take just one bird back to their den for food. Fox also prefer only fresh kills.
