Sorry for your experience! We've always had good service and good food too. The owner is usually very friendly and efficient. I can't help but wonder that something else was going on behind the scenes. But still no reason to take it out on you.

Same here - NEVER a bad experience there. Agree with Pine Girl about something else going on - no excuses.
I'll still go to Aspen Perk - love the coffee and food. |

To comment on the smoking issue. We smokers are usually very careful about the presence of non smokers. We still have the right and legal to smoke in colorado (outside or in our homes) please try to keep smoking not a topic. I smoke but do not drink, or use perfume. Some people who do not smoke use alot of perfume and I find it offensive. Drinking causes more deaths per year then smoking. (drinking can adhear your senses, smoking does not). The law was changes to not allow smoking in stores/restraunts etc. let it go people. Just my thought on the matter.

Actually, according to a 2009 Harvard health study publication, smoking tobacco is the leading cause of premature death in the U.S. In fact, premature deaths due to smoking is more than 7 times the number for alcohol use. Many other studies also support this research. Although the numbers vary somewhat, most studies agree smoking is still the leading cause of preventable premature death in the U.S. That said, if smoking is bothersome to a customer - regardless of who's smoking - as a business owner, I'd take it pretty seriously. Not that I agree with the law, but I won't go to a restaurant if I have to endure the smell of tobacco smoke. Just won't do it. Ruins my meal. So would too much perfume. Or farts. It's pretty much all the same to me. |

I have eaten breakfast a couple times at Aspen Perk and have had excellent food and good service. Look forward to the next breakfast outing there.
Quite an impressive place "hidden in plain sight" in Aspen Park next to Mountain Books, another hidden gem on the 285 corridor. _________________ <a href="http://tinypic.com?ref=mirec" target="_blank"><img src="http://i39.tinypic.com/mirec.jpg" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a> |

We went for the first time today, for breakfast. Didn't know it was such a large place! We had really good service and a nice breakfast. Will be back...

The owner told us they are moving to the old Heidi's (or it could've been Anthony's) location... I doubt they will succeed, given the track record of many businesses at the Safeway Town Center... I wish them good luck, but give them less than a year.

We both politely called over the waitress , since we both have worked in the restaurant industry and fully understand that accidents happen. She called over the female Owner, who after telling what happened grabbed the plates and said that no one in her kitchen has hair and walked off without apologizing or even letting us know what she was going to do. We asked her from afar as she entered the kitchen what she wanted us to do about it, she said "i can just remake it for you, or you can just walk out" This was extremely rude and far from the correct way to handle customers that would come back again and did nothing wrong. Especially the owner. We should have at least gotten an apology and let us know that she will fix it or comp the bill or whatever feels right. Sadly I have had similar experiences there, and swore to never go back, but given the lack of choices in the area, we do patronize the place once in awhile. A word of advice, don't order an Arnold Palmer! |

I'm curious ... how do you screw up an Arnold Palmer? _________________ “I mix religion with politics as little as possible.” – John Adams |
