We and a great lunch there last week. They were super sweet to our toddler (which always earns bonus points with us) and have a dresser in the bathroom that works as a changing table.

Lunch was great. Get the carnitas sandwich with a side of the green chili. Can't wait to go for breakfast for the baked avacado. It's a comfy place, feels almost like a living room or a dining space in a bed and breakfast.

The short description of the Shaggy Sheep is clean and simple. A small menu but all hand made. The staff was very friendly.

We had the carnitas. It was actually shredded carnitas mixed with roasted green chilies served between toasted white bread. I thought they gave me the wrong item, but after tasting it was very good. Unusual but good. I had it with the Cole slaw. It was obviously all hand cut with a light mayo sauce. Not the stuff from the bag.

My wife had the bowl of green chile. It also had the big pieces of roasted green chiles. I loved it -- but be warned: it was spicier than average! It could have come with a tortilla, but simple and delicious!! I'll go back.

I have been reading these wonderful reviews, I'm sorry I strongly disagree. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries. The bun wad nice but that was about it. I received my plate that consisted of an $11 burger with ten french fries ( I counted the fries because I couldn't believe the price). That was my birthday lunch and it was a great disappointment.

Thanks for the kind words! Chris and I are working hard to make the experience enjoyable for everyone.

I am so sorry to hear it was not an enjoyable birthday lunch. If you want to try again, lunch on us! Happy Birthday!

Went for breakfast last week. Delightful place with great food. Sara and Chris are young, energetic and are doing all the right things. I believe the plan is for a liquor license and to convert the side room to a bit of a bar environment where you can watch sports events, etc.
The upgrades done to the main dining room are very simple and classy.

Shaggy Sheep is a prime example of what happens when 2 people have a dream, think it through thoroughly, are committed to success, friendly, and care about what they are doing. Good job!

I took my out of town guests to the Shaggy Sheep after we toured Guanella Pass today. The food and service were excellent.

My guests are big on eating out and were impressed to have such well prepared food in an out of the way (to them) restaurant. We spoke to the chef and he sure has an impressive background. The place is decorated plain but very pleasant and had a nice dining feel to it.

Our server was excellent - friendly and efficient. Again, our food was well prepared and delicious.
