Well, I have been following Pine Cam for quite a while. Actually a year
since I was lucky enough to move up here. I have read some pretty
lame posts here, BUT, by far, the post by Mummydog was the
LAMEST. I go to Madwells and get pizza. It is very good.
WHY MUMMYDOG would any server say the calamari was a possibly a bad
batch?? AND secondly, WHY would any "CHEF", and I use the
term loosely, send a sample of a potentially bad or spoiled
product?????????????????? Something is not right in Denmark.
I am sure Tony would never do something so STUPID!!!! Mummydog
IF this truely happened, why are you so proud of it. CRAZY, I Think.

yikes way to spin a post.
of course JJ's wouldn't serve spoiled food.

when I read mummy's post I took "bad batch" to mean it didn't taste good. Like maybe the seasoning was off or something.

Nice way to start your day there. Insulting the chef (using the term loosely), mummy is crazy a lame poster and may not be telling the truth.

Maybe one party sent the calamari back that evening because it didn't taste good to them, yet others were enjoying theirs so the server gave mummy the option to try it.

I certainly didn't see anything in mummy's post to imply that JJ's was serving spoiled sea food. Try decaf.

hmstress, I apologize to you and others -- especially Tony -- if my post misled.

Another table had returned their order. The server simply sought to see what I thought before preparing a whole portion for us. I thought that was very kind and considerate, and certainly NO ONE was intentionally sending a bad product out there.

I am and will continue to be very proud of JJ's and Tony for always looking out for their customers and doing right by them. And as I said, this restaurant is at the very top of our local dining establishments and will continue to be!!! I am happy to retract my post if it offends anyone.

First of all I did not say that Mummydog was a lame poster. I have read
some great post by Mummydog. I said the post was lame. When
we post on these boards we have to be very careful I believe.
J Miller thinks that we SPIN the posts. Unfortunately we do not
read them and respond to them to her liking. 22,118 posts and
counting. Get a life.

:rof laughing:

okay you got me there. Her post was lame but she is still crazy and may be lying. got it.

who is this 'we'? do you have a mouse in your pocket?

I find it hilarious that because I have so many posts in nearly seven years, some of which was spent as a moderator, engaging in discussion to benefit the site and being involved in numerous events, fund raisers, contributing to threads of community concern, projects, resources, multiple levels of interest in Pet, Corral and living room, gardening, classifieds and the buying and selling of items and charitable threads and threads of support for agencies and individuals a like, I can't possibly have a life!!??

Many posts and a full, involved and interesting life are not mutually exclusive. But how would you know that?

instead of knocking other posters, let's just give restaurant reviews, ok? I came here to read about the food, not about who has a life and who doesn't -

so, what food would you recommend to a mostly vegetarian?

Mostly vegetarian?
Then I'd order the ribeye! With a side salad of course.

I'm not sure what a ribeye is -

wait a minute! ribeye is a cut of steak! ha ha ha -
and no, I'll eat green chile with pork in it, but not a big piece of meat - nice try though!

WG2, I would recommend the eggplant parm highly. Ravioli con pesto is also great but prepared with cream so if dairy is a concern be advised. I have had the linguine with white clam sauce and adore it when the sauce is just garlic, white wine and butter. Sometime the chef will toss a little cream in there, I don't care for that, so best to ask before ordering. We also love the pasta puttanesca, they have versions with and without anchovies. Marinara is outstanding!!!

And, as indicated, the pizzas are terrific!

That's what I look for in this thread WG. Many of us know how the obvious users give themselves up in threads as evidenced today. In this forum I like feedback on the food and service.

drat! I hate when I do that! I typed in a response to mummydog's suggestions and I must not have hit the submit button - because my post isn't there anymore - darn it!

anyway, I love eggplant parm. - and dairy is fine - my butt loves sour cream - so much that it never gives it back!

thanks for the tips!

Jeff's favorite dish is the spinach manicotti.
They also have a vegetable lasagna that I can't wait to try.

I believe they have other vegie as well.

We are getting ready to move to Conifer area and tried out a couple of different restaurants as we looked at real estate. My Conifer living friend took me here and boy, I just LOVED it!!! We both had the portobello sandwich which was served on a delicious toasted roll with lots of other veggies, marinara and cheese. WONDERFUL!!!! The home style chips were equally delicious. Will definitely be back here. I can only imagine how good the pizza is.
