Just don't use Decon or other poisons. Anything that eats the poisoned mouse will die too --foxes, skunks, birds of prey, bobcat -- anything. And then whatever feeds on that carcass. One wildlife officer told me that for every mouse poisoned, it could be up to 6 or 9 animals killed.

We can't bring ourselves to kill the little things. We use a 5 gallon Home Depot bucket, wire coat hanger, large vitamin bottle or can with peanut butter, and a small ramp (You can find a number of videos on YouTube), and we have caught and released 20 little field mice (they have been wintering with us over the winter) over the last 10 days. We put a little food and a jar lid of water in the bottom of the bucket, and we have caught multiple mice each night. Just make sure that you release them at least 100+ yards away from you, or they WILL find their way back to you. :hugegrin: :animated laughing:

100 yards is not enough. You might want to number them. You might have been recycling the same two or three mice. As you catch them, do they seem to be getting fatter? :lol:
