I just went to Columbine High to pick up some things for the Bailey end of the ride tomorrow and I was amazed!

The school is really doing an amazing job of getting ready for the start of the ride. Staff was scurrying all over the place to prep but what amazed me the most was the students.

It was after hours on a Friday...

There were students making signs, others assembling donated candles, others sorting t-shirts, signing letters for the Bailey students and many other activities.

Every single student there was polite, friendly and happy to be there. All of the staff was amazing too.

And to think none of these kids was even AT Comlumbine when their tragedy happened but they still "feel" it enough to want to help the Platte Canyon kids.

What an amazing world this would be if all of the upcoming generation would take time to care for one another.

Thank you Columbine students and staff for helping us to heal!

Mindy

That is one of the most heart warming and fuzzy stories that I've heard in a couple of days! The world is full of caring people.............young and old.

Is there someway that we can let the kids at PCHS know how caring these Columbine students are?

I think the kids at Columbine have some things that they will be sending up the PCHS. From the looks of it they have put some effort into tangible items showing their support.

I think there is a very real possibility that the upcoming generation may just do that. School is a place to learn and they are learning lessons we never had to.

Good for them. I bet we see lots of blue and silver hugging lots of blue and white tomorrow. OK everyone now quit crying Tomorrow is going to be a FANTASTIC noisy event
