Platte Canyon CWPP wildfire protection - Jan 21st & 25th, Sharing an email I received regarding a worthy meeting. Email :coffee:
is from The Platte Canyon CWPP Update is coming to a close! We will be holding two meetings to
share the findings and what to do about them, so there won’t be any excuses for your neighbors not to attend! These
meetings will be important to engaging the community in wildfire protection efforts and I need your help. Please invite
everyone you can think of to come learn about the unique challenges Platte Canyon faces with wildfire and how we think
they can be addressed in the coming years. The information shared will be accessible and easy for anyone to understand
– no fire background required. Our agenda will start by describing what we did and what we learned to give context, and
then focus the bulk of the time on resources and methods to reduce risk. The idea is to show residents what we’re
concerned about while also demonstrating the possibility for improvement! This is the meeting to pull out all the
stops for! Post it to your social media or put a flyer up in your business – we’d like to reach everyone that’s
willing to be engaged! Dates are: Tuesday, January 21st at 6 pm, Saturday, January 25th at 2 pm, Location: Platte
