What are the time tables involved with this Petition?
How long will will people have to find one to sign? How long will/can the organizers circulate it?

Moving Closer to Mob Rule: No Choice, No Voice

New York and California have many diverse groups. There is such a democratic principle that the majority rules. Our government is based on that.

It seems ironic you would call the electoral collage and the constitutional republic that formed it, feudal.
When in fact, the American revolution, the United States it created and the constitution that bound them together, was, and still is, a dagger trust toward the very heart of feudalism.
Your position here, could certainly cause some to question the quality of education you've received.

You know it really isn't that complicated. Your democratic principle is still at work. The majority rules the vote in Colorado and all the other states. The winner "wins" all the votes to combine at the national convention. All of this uses democratic principles AS WELL AS constitutional republic principles. I see no reason to change a system that is working as well as any other country's system. The feudal system you refer to is irrelevant as it doesn't exist in the US.

US Constitution
Article I
Section 10
Last Clause

"No State shall, without the Consent of Congress,,,,,, enter into any Agreement or Compact with another State, or with a foreign Power,,,,,,, " NPV dies right here.

The supporters of NPV are, in essence, calling for a national election yet there are no national election laws. Different laws, standards, ID or no ID, voter rolls in a wreck.

Is it possible to expel California* from the Electoral College?
Could Texas, and other ‘strict’ States, sue a ‘lax’ State like California (* and then other States individually like New York and Illinois) for negating or disenfranchising voters in ‘strict’ States. The goal of the suit would be to strip that ‘lax’ State of its representation in the Electoral College under the Equal Protection terms of the Constitution? By allowing fraudulent ballots (by design in my opinion) California is watering down the effect of valid ballots in ‘strict’ States like Texas. It should require only a single disenfranchised voter or fraudulent ballot to establish standing in Court, in my humble non-lawyerly opinion.
How can America have a national election without national election laws? Things like voter ID, clean voter rolls, citizens only on rolls, checking all State rolls to ensure voting in only one State, no ballot harvesting, cut off dates for ‘provisional’ ballots ,,,
I doubt a Court would strip California (I can dream!) but could impose a 'remedy', such as "become strict".

This would be the argument in front of the supreme court, and the fact that this compact is a conspiracy between states to affect the outcome of the presidential election, it would likely prevail.

But... the states have the right to allocate their electors in any manner they choose. If Colorado, for instance, were to decide pass a law or initiative, that stated only,
"Our electors will cast their vote for the candidate that receives the most votes in all the states."
Without the connection between other states for the change to take effect it would be perfectly legal, and there would be nothing to stop other states from doing the same thing.

The best way to stop this is if the people stand up and say, NO. This current initiative is a way for that to happen!

Funny - I don't ever remember the left having a problem with the Electoral College when their candidate won.

NATIONAL POPULAR VOTE: Nevada Says ‘No!’

We sincerely hope this is the beginning of a trend — Democrats using thoughtful deliberation before tearing our electoral system to shreds.

Put National Popular Vote (NPV) Law on 2020 Ballot.

If you believe Colorado's votes matter during US Presidential elections...you have another opportunity to sign the petition next Tuesday.

WHEN: Tuesday, June 11th, 12-2pm
WHERE: King Soopers in Conifer
> Look for the Volunteer Circulators that will be standing near the entrance

In Mar 2019 Colorado Gov signed the National Popular Vote (NPV) into Colorado law. This law binds our states electors to vote for whichever Presidential candidate that wins the National Popular Vote, even if majority of Coloradans voted for
a different candidate.

So far the volunteer efforts have collected more than half of the signatures needed.
> This petition is the first step. To collect signatures to place this new law on the 2020 ballot.
> If petition is successful, the second step will be for all Coloradans to vote on this as a referendum in Nov 2020
- Vote 'Yes/For' to keep the law on the books
- Vote 'No/Oppose' to reject it so it can be repealed

Any sane person would want this to be repealed so that our votes in Colorado matter. Who would want California and New York to have even more power over us in the heart of the country? The electoral college is very much needed!
