The Colorado legislature has already passed a bill and Governor Polis has already signed it adding Colorado to the states that say they will allocate ALL their electoral college electors to the winner of the National popular vote (Hillary in 2016) regardless of how the people of their state voted. If states holding 270 electoral votes pass the same bill, then those states can elect the President without any other State. This violates the concept of the electoral college.

This ballot initiative will give the citizens of Colorado a voice on the law that was passed. I believe we can also veto that law with a yea vote on this initiative but someone else will need to confirm that.

This is correct. If enough signatures are gathered, then the question goes to the voters of Colorado to decide. A 'yea' vote will overturn the law passed by the legislature. If enough signatures are not obtained to put it on the ballot, or if the ballot question fails to pass, then Colorado will lose all significance in any national election (once a few other states pass this measure).

Anyone interested in signing the petition can PM me and we can arrange to meet somewhere in the Bailey or Conifer area.

I am proud to say that I signed this petition today! I never want the east coast or west coast to have so much power that the rest of us no longer matter! The electoral college is very much needed to protect our freedom!
