spot fire just reported by Meyer's Ranch at the top of the mountain FF Hiking in. Sheer cliff walls going to see if they have better access by Moyer Circle?
FF checking on availability of a helicopter. Best access is from Eagle Cliff. Has been lightning in the area.

Crews are working their way to the spot fire. Should have an update in about 10 minutes. Reporting a rather small spot fire at this point. Reviewing options for air support if needed, no decisions made yet on this support. Terrain is difficult.

Crews also requesting air support. About 6 foot flames with one small tree that crowned. Still reviewing air support due to terrain. My next door neighbor was in the area and called with a visual and reported the same.

We saw it too. Flame visible from 285 and lots of smoke. Xenon has the scanner and is on his way there to take pictures.

SEAT plane (Single Engine Air Tanker) has been ordered with fire retardent while daylight remains. This incident has been named Eagle Cliff Fire.

Units reporting about 50 percent fire lines around fire. Continuing with air support due to intensity of ground fuel.

Units now reporting 100 percent containment line around fire per Elk Creek Fire. Winds are calm and fire has diminished. They are cancelling air support at this time.

Per Elk Creek Fire, crews are holding containment line for tonight with no additional support this evening. Weather is favorable for moisture on this event tonight. Additional size up and decisions will be made in the morning for continued activity.

Elk Creek Fire has had crews on scene this AM with hose line , they are not yet calling it out but it is fully controlled and they will be keeping an eye on it.
