Wasn't sure where to post this, so thanks moderators for putting it where it belongs. Anyway, I love cooking with turmeric but it turns my hands yellow and I look like I have a liver disease. And it tends to stain my counter tops and anything else it comes in contact with. Any suggestions? Thanks!

A couple of thoughts for you. For your hands, try nitrile gloves. They are thin so should not affect your ability to measure and mix. You can get these at any grocery store. For your counter, you might get a length of oilcloth, typically used to cover picnic tables. The surface can be wiped clean and if the stains don’t come out, well, serving its purpose. You can get this at Walmart (ugh, I know) or JoAnn’s or Michaels. And if you buy a couple yards you can cut it to fit your counters.

Happy cooking!

I use Turmeric quite a bit without issue. I use a measuring spoon and put in the bowl.
