Apparently he is a ne'er do well party animal.

You know... a real 'swinger'...

OhIjustcrackmeupsometimes

Seriously, reminds me of grumpy old 8-Ball, the 8x8, in downtown Evergreen last year. Had most of someone's Christmas decorations in his antlers.

I hate to see stuff like this especially at the beginning of the winter. I hope he can work out of it.

a few springs back, we had a bull elk that had gotten all twisted up in a rope.

Thank goodness, it was time to drop the antlers

It snowed that night and we had two bulls lounging and one had both antlers gone with the right pedicle being bloody

So, off I went hunting antlers and found them about 200 yards straight out the back door

Yep - he was right on Dawson yesterday. Huge Elk with huge antlers. Hope he can get rid of it.

Can't the DOW be notified of this? Would they sedate the animal to remove them?
I sure hope he can get free of the swing somehow.

I have a photo from August of a elk in Estes Park that has Xmas lights in his. The ranger said, they are not causing the elk any problems and he'd lose the rack this winter.

I'd post it but the imagaeshack link doesn't seem to work without some sort of code the link says.

I use www.tinypic.com and have a lot less problems. Once you upload the picture, just copy the "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" and paste that code in the "message body" box.
