Ok I am not admitting to summer being over.

But it is that time of year to consider replacing the electric baseboards that dont work with better, more efficient models.

Anyone have any experience or source for good efficient electric baseboards?

Have been gradually replacing our old 220v ones with new ones and did a bunch of research. The oil filled ones are nice but really pricey so we have just been getting the standard ones (Home Depot) and been well pleased so far. Also replacing the thermostats at the same time helps. Actually had to call the manufacturer to ask an installation question and was really surprised to get a human on the phone in one ring-a-ding who got me a technical support person in less then one minute!

We have 'Cadet Softheat' hot water units in our home. House was built in 1983 (didn't have a natural gas option back then in this area) and we have only had to replace one of them. Very attractive units. Clean, quiet and heats the home quickly and very efficiently.
I bought ours through Build.com and paid less than Home Depot and got the color that I wanted. (off white) They come in different sizes also. Free delivery etc. Check them out online at Build.com or call at 800 375-3403 7 days a week. They're like a giant Home Depot. They sell everything! Great customer service too!
