Momo, our six-year-old flame point Siamese popped a screen out of the window and went walkabout. This is a cat with no outdoor skills (but he does still have claws)... lost on Ouray Road (halfway between Pine Junction and Pine Grove).

It's the burn area, so not a lot of cover, and we've been searching for most of the last 24 hours.

If anyone sees him, please PM or call me - he is maybe the friendliest, but most chicken-hearted cat I've ever known and we're heartbroken.

Thanks!

Typically they do not go far. he may be frightened and hunkered down somewhere. when they are scared they are quiet.

Call him, then listen for him to answer. Look up in trees , they some times are reluctant to get down. check garages, sheds and up under vehicles. Anything that was open and got closed again.

Put out the shirt or some article of clothing freshly worn, from his favorite person, on the porch or deck so he can smell it. Change it every night.

Go to the neighbors and ask about him, make flyers to put up at cross streets and mailbox areas.

Keep the faith!

Jo is right, look close by and under stuff. Cats are natural survivors outdoors, so don't give up on him. He's a beautiful boy and probably after rodents. they probably taunted him one too many times.

My son found his wandering cat in a window well...take a peek if you have them.

I just want to say thanks for the amazing advice (which we've followed to the letter) and notes of support - still no sign of Momo, and we've been out looking all day, everyday.

He's the kind of cat who comes running from anywhere when called, so I can only guess he's gone on a journey (I can't let myself accept the other strong possibility of his fate...).

Please know we're grateful and will keep hoping even when reason says not to.

We're definitely still holding good thoughts too - we did the round of shelters yesterday, and heard from a very kind fellow Pine-cammer about a possible match (no luck in our case, but I hope someone claims the cat she has - he sounds like a sweetheart).

Thanks so much for keeping a lookout, everyone. Not to be too maudlin, but I've walked many miles at this stage, binoculars in hand, and haven't seen any sign that would show he's been killed (it's easier than you'd guess in an area where there is no foliage due to fire!). So we're definitely still hoping!
