I called my health provider (Kaiser) and after being transferred all over the country I found out that I will have to call back on Monday. Start by calling your health provider then if you are Medicare or Medicaid Call them and complain. Call you health insurance company. Obviously Apria does not care. Send them an email to complain about this problem. Make sure you tell them where you are located. Here is there Email. Patient_Satisfaction@Apria.com
Oh yea you should complain in your name as well as the patent or caregiver. _________________ I go to FaceBook to see what my old friends are up to. I go to PineCam to see what my new friends are up to. |

The rationale is to have the tubing more easily seen and thus prevent falls. Suggest you request a swivel to join tubings - should solve the problem. The color really has no impact. Not to say that there aren't VERY irritating aspects about having O2 AT ALL - I try to remain grateful that there is such a thing, but sometimes...

Chinook, I have swivels on each end. The green tubing is considered high flow tubing and is made of a thicker and stickier plastic. The problem is that it does not lay down. It sticks to its self and this causes it to bunch up and get tangled. Most of the time there are loops and tangles that stick up as much as 4 inches. Most of us have problems lifting our feet that high. The color may make it easier to see but it is hard to tell how high it is off the ground. Chinook are you using the green tubing? _________________ I go to FaceBook to see what my old friends are up to. I go to PineCam to see what my new friends are up to. |

I am - by request. I do run pretty low litre flow, if that matters. I have to say I haven't had a problem like those you mention. Have had those, of course, from my own bumblling and my dog standing/sitting/lying on it - AND, of course, the catching on any possible protuberance in its path. It's just a pain. Sorry you are having such a problem. Falling is NOT good, and if they can remedy that for you it would be a good thing. I wouldn't hold my breath (pun intended!).

Pa is on 6 and would need the high flow hose option I have bean on 6 liters for 3 years. The green hose is for much higher flow. I used the clear hose for 2 1/2 years and it worked fine. Just call Apria and they will send you the swivels. They made a big difference with the clear hose but not much with the green. _________________ I go to FaceBook to see what my old friends are up to. May I make a suggestion? If Apria won't change out the hose, then is there any way you can coat the tubing on the outside with flour or talcum powder? I would surely talk to Apria or your doc first so you can find out if those substances would cause any problems, like how Vaseline can burn you when it's combines with O2. _________________ My goal in life...is to be the sort of person my dog thinks I am - Maxine ₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪

before ordering through apria, check the internet - I get my supplies either from the company (not the marked up apria prices) or e-bay - way cheaper! - something that apria charged $88, got the very same thing through the company for $35
