Would someone please explain to me how this Columbine got to be so HUGE? Especially in the middle of Safeway's parking lot!

Yep, it's a beauty!
It's the variety and perfect conditions. I have a Yukon Gold that does not get that big as it gets too much shade and too much water

Maybe this particular one likes not having the competition of other flowering plants as it would if it were in someone's garden area. It's very pretty. We have to take our beauty where we find it up here.
