I had a good laugh today. A hysterical one. An excellent joke!

Insurance company calls me ( I don't receive calls where I am evacuated to, but I get texts and voicemail, go figure), so I call them back (VOIP).

How sorry they are, and that I should call the hotline and open a claim for ALE (additional living expenses). Sounds good.

He says with my claim number, I go to the evacuation center -

in Colorado Springs so that I can get my debit card.

I am like - HUH? You DO know the pass is closed, because your office is in the Springs, right??? WTH?

I try to explain that we have to take care of the animals and trying to work, so sorry, I don't have time for a 100 mile one way detour to get a debit card to help with my expenses because you just added to my expenses.

Given that between starting in Chipita Park and now a large chunk of Woodland is on the lam, I would have to guess that about a 5th of the (at least) 4000 displaced and stuck up here are customers of that insurance.

Is that the best you can do? What a joke.

I told you. A joke

Oh he said, the evacuees in Pueblo were not happy either. And it's not even so far for them.
