I'm new to CO and missing my Dallas talk radio station KRLD. I know I could listed to it here but what I liked about it was the daily discussion on local events. Now I'm in CO I'd like to hear discussion on events relating to life in CO -can anyone recommend a station? I don't want to listen to politics and/or sports all day

Sorry, clear channel owns almost all the stations here. Politics, sports or religion is pretty much it. Colorado Matters on CPR in the AM covers local issues. Other than that I'm at a loss.

You can get a pretty good across-the-board viewpoint of Colorado, at least in the '80's and '90's, by reading some of the past talk hosts' books.
Ken Hamblin “Pick a Better Country” (1997) and “Plain Talk and Common Sense from the Black Avenger” (1999) Talked to Death- a biographical telling of Alan Burg's life and death Pete Smythe Although waaaay to righty for me, Mike Rosen is still on KOA 9-noon, and you'll get some local feel. He has The Hick and Hancock on once a month. Every Friday Rosen has a good entertainment show with CBS4's Greg Moody. Reggie McDaniel Passed a few years ago, I don't know if he was an author, but he was a great entertainment guide to Colorado. Dusty Saunders' book "Heere's Dusty" has some entries regarding talk show hosts. |

Carolyn,
Nice to meet you at the BBQ. My hubby is a major fan of KRLD also. Here he listens to 850 or 630. Couldn't tell you what he listens to because I don't listen to radio. Can't ask him currently he is in TX. Karla |

Do a google search for your favorite stations. 9 out of 10 you will be able to listen to it through its website and perhaps through a smart phone if you own one. _________________ Kyrie, eleison |

Thanks Walter but I'm wanting to find the equivalent CO station not listen to my old one. I like to listen to the local news and local events. I don't watch TV so this is my way of catching up on local news and events -I guess I"m looking for the radio version of PINCAM

Afraid I have to agree w/this......nothing like what you are use to or what a wonderful choice we had when we lived in Michigan. Hubby likes Politics and has plenty of stations.......I'm afraid I've had to resort to listening to the I-pod my daughter talked me into last year. _________________
