She was last seen in Harris Park near Highway 47. She does not have her tags.

If you have any info please call at 303-741-4347. Thank you.

Thanks to everyone who cared enough to help look for our dog. Wynter was found badly injured and had to be put down. All evidence suggests that she was hit by a car and the person who did it left her to die. I am deeply saddened by this but am simultaneously grateful for the supportive ladies at Lone Rock Veterinary Clinic. What a great group of people. I would specifically like to thank Terri (I hope that's the right name) for being kind enough to talk to me and help me calm down before having to go tell my 3 year old what happened. It sure is nice to know that there are good people left out there. God Bless.

lusseglio, I'm so terribly sorry to hear this news. Absolutely beautiful dog. I'm so glad you were with her at the end and that she didn't die alone where she lay.
I ,too, agree about Lone Rock. Very good people.
Rest in Peace Wynter.

Thanks everyone. I wanted to clarify the whole story. It stinks! We gave Wynter to a friend about 2 weeks ago because we are moving to Texas and thought that she would fare better here. It looks like she got loose from her 'new' home probably trying to find us and the person didn't tell us until 2 days after she went missing. She was called into park county early monday morning. She was put down and I did not know. I was at Lone Rock handing out a poster and then we were able to track her from there. I came back to identify my dog. I, unfortunately, was not there for her at the end. I'm curious to know who called her in and found her in the condition she was in. She was badly injured, bleeding from the nose and mouth. The vet had to put her down. It would be nice to say thanks. Part of me wants to know who runs over a dog and doesn't at least stop and make a call into animal control. SAD. It happened early monday morning. Maybe someone out there knows something.

Maybe the person that hit her was the one to take her in to the vet?

I thought that too. But from what I was told, she crawled over to someone's house injured and the homeowner call animal control. Who knows what really happened.
