:(
This morning, around 7:00, on Conifer Mt. at about Penny and Kings Valley E. a fox was crossing the road with a fluffy white cat in her mouth. Sorry to who ever the owner is.

Cats are an easy meal for some wildlife. The fox needs to eat too.

Thank you Vundabar. If I were missing my cat, I'd really appreciate the information and description. You may have saved someone alot of worry and concern. Better to know than wonder forever.

Pretty brave fox! Our foxes won't go after anything much bigger than a squirrel.

POSTING FOR SOMEONE ELSE:

One of our clients lives in the area and said the white cat (deceased) is on side of the road on Kings Valley East. If your cat, please call Susan, and she will give you exact directions. Her number is 303-838-2532.
Hopefully the owner of the cat will see this post :(

foxes are opportunistic - they'll go after a cat if they think they can win (like a declawed cat, an injured cat, or a cat not paying attention - I've watched my cat 'play' with a fox, but I would not trust the fox with her and will intervene -

It's also possible the cat had been hit by a car or met some other demise and the fox wastaking advantage. Either way ... another reason our cats are indoor only. Poor kitty
:(

Ditto what Nailedagain said. If it were mine, I'd really appreciate knowing what happened. Thank you Vundabar!
