Here are a few pics of the hermit gardens....
Pretty much all started from seed or tubers except the strawberry, bought those plants.
cauliflower, I have about 6 taking up too much space in the greenhouse
Herbs
More herbs
Hanging baskets, all started from seed. I made a rack out of scrap material to hang em on!
Part of the raised bed with peppers, maters, cuauliflower and more hanging baskets.
Now if I had 50 more of these beauties...
First time trying Astilbe's
Cosmos's - seeds were saved from last years flowers
Dahlia's, 5 different types, first time trying these too.
Dahlia, saved the tuber from last year and kept in the house.
Petunia baskets with lobelia. These took forever to grow, ant don't think I will do it again. Easier to buy em at Walmart!
Sunflowers and dill
Zinnias and marigolds
State Fair Zinnia
Garilc that was planted last year!
Baby's Breath
Starter Beefsteaks and BetterBoys. Not shown, two flower beds outside, cold frame with lettuce, onions, spinach - potato bed, and ties w/ zuccs for later planting. My life is devoted to watering all day

Looks awesome baileyhermit! The cauliflower is beautiful, do you leave it in a pot the whole time?

Thank you! Yes, I leave in the huge pots but do have to water every day. From what I read, they have a very shallow root system and are easy to damage when transplanted. Too smuch stress from transplanting can cause the heads to become stunted. So I usually start them in the really small cells, then one transplant to the 2.5 (?) inch pots, then final transplant to large pots. I do have a couple in the grow bed too, but the ones in large pots are actually producing larger heads- using same dirt! I have some more starters of cauliflower too, and will try them directly outside once frost danger is gone (hmmm, that could be late July!) _________________ Enjoy life, laugh often and fish till you drop!
