Dear Neighbors in Kings Valley,

I have a request, can pay you in chocolate chip cookies!!!

We recently adopted a puppy, and after she is fully vaccinated I am wondering if anyone would mind coordinating an afternoon walk with us so that we can teach proper outside introduction skills to our new baby girl. Right now, due to her age, and giant breed size, she is only allowed two 10-15 min walks a day. So I hope that we wouldn't be taking up much of your time.

If I can find multiple dogs for her to greet that would be amazing! Also, if you have any tips or pointers on this they would be much appreciated. I have done a lot of research, but now my brain is clogged with all the different methods!!! positive reinforcement only, please.

Thank you for your time,

Yes, that would be great in addition to walks. I plan to do this in multiple places. Some I can approach on the spot, in public or while walking the neighborhood. She won't be ready for the dog park for another 3.5 weeks- but while walking now, I can teach her to pass dogs without ALWAYS greeting them but also getting rewards for greeting appropriately.

I'm curious - which giant breed is she? I love the giants!

Kudos to you for going out of your way to train your dog properly. Dog parks are great. I took my pup as early as 9 weeks old. I don't live in your area or else I would help out.

Thanks! I want to expose her to different people and dogs approaching us at a minimum of 10 different locations, 10 different people and dogs, etc...

We were told that she is a Great Pyr, St Bernard mix. But she has the coloring, more so, of a Landseer Newfie.
