Hi - bought my first one used from a dealer that used it for rentals. It was serviced frequently by the dealer and yes while renters can be hard this one was great and ran awesome, possibly because of the extra care for the next customer.

The thing to watch for is when getting gas. If the bays are aimed at the building, you might get 'stuck' unless you are on an end. People coming and going for snacks might get you blocked in. The ones that run parallel to the building are great. When out in the boonies where you don't know the gas stations, we started using google maps (free). What I do is look up the gas in the area thru google maps, then do the street view which gives you a photo of the location. You can see which way the bays are running. Sometimes, just going a mile out of your way can save you that jammed up feeling at the gas station (ours is 33ft - gas).

Also, we use the google maps to check out campgrounds. Once we were going to stay at one that sounded great - on the Mississippi, great this, great that but I did an aerial (satellite) view on google maps and the campground was surrounded (other than the river side) by factories spewing all kinds of spew. Didn't stay there.

We live in the beautiful mountains so people ask why do you camp, too. Don't know why it is so much fun but it is! Enjoy!!

Since you all have RVs and campers, where do you take them for repairs, service?
I have some plumbing work that needs to be done on mine and need a reputable honest place.
Tried Steven Casey last year who charged me $800+ for work needed. We took off on our trip right away only to realize that none of the work we paid for had been completed. Manager acknowledged the problem and promptly refunded the money. We ended up doing the bulk of the work ourselves but need a couple of items taken care of now.
Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated.

Holiday Rambler has a similar plan; covers the motorized vehicle towing as well.

I've been RVing for some sixty years. One thing that has always worked for us is to prepare a meal in our unit before leaving home on a long trip so that we can get anything we may forgotten while at home. Light the refrigerator the day before you leave. The refrigerator likes to be level when turned on and parked. It does not have to be perfect level, but if you are comfortable in the RV the refrigerator will be OK.

Another tip. Join a RV club and attend their Rallies. You'll find lots of help from friendly folks who have all been a first timer at one time.

I highly recommend Dave at the shop in Arvada. I am a HUGE fan of his excellent work.
