I'm thinkin' that maybe we could get this moved over to the Corral. I'll bet there would be a of of good suggestions there! (and maybe you could even score some used materials!)

Oh, that kind of fencing.
My first thought was, "Foil, Epee or Saber?"

Lol Sabel.
So LBL I am new to this. Do I move it or does an administrator have to do it? Great idea by the way! Thank you. |

The least expensive and easiest fence would be three strands of slick wire on t posts, with wood and cement corners. If you're worried about the horse leaning on the wire, you can run an electric strand from a solar charger. This will increase the price though. Some people would use barbed wire for this reason, but I wouldn't. Horses are masters at getting caught up in wire, and if it's barbed wire bad things can, and often do, happen.
Corral panels are a good option if you don't have too much to cover. Although they may be a little pricey up front, you can generally always sell them when you're finished with them, or move them as your needs change. People are always looking to buy used panels. Just a couple thoughts. Good luck. |

look, free tee-posts http://www.pinecam.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=149594
If you use them, remember to cap the tops so the hroses don't get hurt. I'd recommend a small square horse wire, not strands--again, so they don't get hurt, but am not sure of price on either. If you get the mesh wire, be sure the holes are not large enough for the horse to put a hoof through. |

Thank you for your help. I would not have seen the free T-posts otherwise. What a wonderful community we have!
I am very grateful. |
