Post subject: Phoenix has been found!!!!!! BWO!!!

Phoenix was missing 9 days! She was found 6 and 1/2 miles from our house by a very kind family. She has lost 40% of her body weight, is skin and bones and dehydrated but she was able to wag her tail and gave us kisses when we went to pick her up.
She traveled over remote forestry land to get to where she ended up in a whole other county! We feel completely blessed to have her back and we thank our very supportive community both here on PineCam and Brook Forest Estates. We got so many calls from our neighbors and even people from far away saying they would keep an eye out for her. The local vets and Evergreen Animal Protection League were very supportive and helpful as well. Please remember to have your pets ID tags on their collars with your correct phone numbers....this is how we were notified that Phoenix was found! The family that found her said they thought she was a skinny feral dog until they saw the glint of her tags and knew she was missed by someone. PS - if your pet is microchipped -- make sure the microchip company has your correct contact info -- if not, and your pet has no tags or loses their collar, there is no way for anyone to contact you![/img] Last edited by CritterNurse on Apr 1, 2012 7:38 pm, edited 3 times in total. |

she looks like she can take care of herself, so it's just a matter of finding her - and maybe she'll come home on her own - let's hope soon!

Thank you everyone for your responses! I haven't logged on in a few days so I only just saw them now. Phoenix is still missing.
We have tried all the animal shelters, including Clear Creek. We check Foothills daily and craigslist for found dogs as well as dogs "for sale" that match her description. She would probably go with anyone who called her which has us very worried that she fell into the wrong hands. Thank you once again. We will keep the posting up until we find her. |

Hang in there. Though I'm sure it seems like an eternity, it hasn't been so long as to give up hope.
If you haven't already, put some of your used bedsheets out so she can smell them. |
