I am just heart sick for you. I have been looking for tracks around my place, but haven't seen a single dog track in this snow.

thanks guys. one month now. think he's still alive? has somebody taken him in, or "stolen" him? at this point i just want to know what's become of him - closure. if somebody's got him and keeping him pls set up an anonymous/temp email on yahoo, hotmail, etc. and let me know. same thing if you shot him. please.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Regardless of where he is, it's still your loss.

Where does he actually live? In the confusion and bad weather, he might be heading home cross country. We should keep a lookout between KZ and his home. By now he could be anywhere. _________________ To abandon oneself in the dance with a horse is to touch the infinite. |

This may be a long shot, but a german shepherd was at our gate this morning and we had dog tracks in the snow yesterday. there are other shepherds in the neighborhood so it could be one of them. the dog ran away up Pine Trail in Green Valley Ranch. We're off 285 at Springs Rd, drive toward white fences then turn left on Columbine and right on Pine Trail. Good luck.

update: unconfirmed sightings sunday afternoon on shelton and on pc43. messages did not come thru onto my voicemail until tuesday morning, ggrrrrr!!! very likely him tho as one of the callers said the dog she saw was not neutered and there's not many of those around. she did not leave her phone number, so i can't call her back. she said the shepherd she saw could use a good scrubbing, but other than that, he looked quite healthy. i'm collecting the trap off sawmill today and resetting it over here on the lower end of my property.
thanks lacypatrick, i don't think that was my dog you saw, but thanks for the eye out. _________________ life is a temporary job. |

i had pretty much given up, nailed, but this flurry of messages from sunday gives me some hope. it seems like even tho he's covering a lot of ground, that he's quite content to stay in this (large) area, which is unpopulated enough for him to feel comfortable, and find bunnies etc to eat, and he's got deer creek to drink from, and lots of shelter and places to hide so searchers don't find him. there are lots of very large properties here, as this area is not a subdivision. yet.
