Ranger Bob asked that I post the following letter to Pinecam:

Dear Pinecam,

I wanted to write in order to inform you that I have lost my
access to the Pinecam website. Our system has undergone
several upgrades and changes recently, and our web filter no
longer allows access to your website through our network.
At least it did not happen until the last few months of our
deployment. I have contacted several members of TSAC, and
have been assured that they will be happy to post items that
I e-mail them.

Christmas here went well; the bad guys seem to have pretty
well thrown in the towel for the winter, and it has been
substantially milder than last year was. The combination of
a good crop year and longer reach by the Government of
Afghanistan and aid agencies should be enough to ensure that
people within our province suffer substantially fewer
hardships than they have in winters past.

The Texas trash arrived in the day before Christmas
shipment. Since the guys were pretty well overwhelmed by
mail that day, I hung on to it for distribution during the
New Years Day football games. One of the bags came open and
the aroma in my office is almost more temptation than I can
resist.

I have sent some photos to Tiller Bee of our Christmas
festivities to include Santa visiting our outlying camps.
As Santa is our Battalion Adjutant and a commissioned
officer, one of them is of him administering the oath of
reenlistment to one of our enlisted soldiers.

Thank you for all that you do for us. I am sorry that my
communication has never been as frequent as it could have
been, and that will be even more limited in the future. If
any issues arise, TSAC has my e-mail address and can get
into contact with me.

Sincerely,

Ranger Bob

Thank you, Texan, for posting this from Ranger Bob. I have not received any images from him yet. I guess I'll wait until this afternoon and, if I still don't have them, I'll email Ranger Bob to see if he sent them to the right email.

I have the images. I'm working on them as I type. I have three ready to post now, more to follow.
