I thought this might be of interest. This is regarding the unit in Ohio that lost so many of their troops at once...

MsMam... I went back to the website & couldn't find any updates. However, they had a link to this website which indicates there's more than just Beans...

THANKS FOR POSTING THIS!

The sleepy marine in the picture (Gunner), yes! that is his real name, not a nickname, grew up with my kids back in Wisconsin. His dad is a retired marine and I am guessing his brother Hondo, also has become a marine, though I lost touch when I moved to Colorado eight years ago.

I will try to help bring these 'mascots'/pets here as they have brought so much comfort to Gunner and his brothers-in-arms over there.
