Image ANNOUNCEMENT - Consolidated Shipment Date Set! Image

May 13, 2005 - Our combined shipment to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan is scheduled to be mailed on Friday, May 13, 2005.

Our collection drive between now and then will benefit both of our combat units in their respective theaters of operation. Unless you earmark your donations to one unit or the other, we will equitably divide the donations among the two. In the next few days, we will post a Call for Items list to let you know of any special requests or items of interest based on the feedback we recieve from our two unit representatives.

Anyone interested in donating goods for the troops should visit one of our drop-box collection points or contact one of the TSAC committee members to arrange a pickup. As always, cash donations to help defray the cost of postage are greatly appreciated. These can be mailed to:

Pinecam, Inc.
c/o Troop Fund
PO Box 2552
Dillon, CO 80435

As always, we are constantly amazed at the generosity of our little community, not only in terms of donations, but also in terms of love and support for our fighting soldiers. We can't thank you enough.

As mentioned above, please feel free to contact one of our TSAC members if you would like to arrange a pick-up of your donations, or if you prefer, go to one of our drop-off locations listed below:

Are there any special suggestions for what to bake, Bubbles? Or how to pack the baked goods? And, I'm sure we shouldn't put the baked goods in a drop box, so how would we get baked goods to the committee in time for the shipment on May 13?

Well, I don't wanna brag, but tasting is an exact science that only a few qualified people can perform. That's where [err] Patrizia and I come in. ;)

Cos is our backup taster, but we seldom use him as his quality requirements are so high that by the time he's through tasting, the goods are gone. 8)

Seriously though, if you are baking for the troops, please do not drop the goods in any of our collection boxes. Instead, please contact any TSAC member to arrange a pickup. Baked goods are re-packaged when we get them to maximize the space in the boxes and to insure freshness at the receiving end. They are frozen until packing day.

If you cant get up the hill, just let me know. I am pretty close to your neighborhood everyday. Anyone else in Denver just let me know when and where.

Mtnmaiden- - if you are going to bake or have other stuff, I live in the neighborhood.

I'm finally getting around to cooking up Texas trash. I waited because it will ship well in heat. It'll go out next week.
