My wife and I are looking to move to the Bailey area and hope to buy a Mountain home soon and look forward to making lots of good friends. Yes. We have a Real Estate Agent.
Thanks to all who contribute to this great website. We are learning a lot from the posters about Bailey. :) Snow, Lightening, Wild Animals, ETC.
Thank You for having us here.

Welcome.

We are relative newcomers - we've been in Bailey just over 2 years. It is wonderful community and the folks here on Pinecam are the best!

The winters are cold and snowy, but much lighter than surrounding areas (Conifer, even Palmer Divide area). We get the beauty without as much work.

Our significant snows are in the Spring. A foot or two of snow one day, 60 degrees and sunny the next. (I love those!)

We usually have a few days during the winter when it gets below zero.

The main thing to know is: there are always exceptions.

When I moved up here, my work schedule was 95% flexible, so getting into town was never a problem for me.

It seems like 43/47 can be bad to drive on during snow. If you have to get somewhere by a certain time everyday, I wouldn't recommend that area (to the North of 285 at the light).

Welcome Opus007

Love it here in what I call Bialeyfer (stolen from someone here on PC), this is a great life. With over 300 days a year of Sunshine the Winters are not so bad. They also refer to the area as the Banana Belt, Summer can be a bit warm but who loves days over 80 degrees?
Come on up, jion the commuinty and live the life, we would love to have ya here!
