Good guy with a gun.

"Society seems to have less of a problem watching someone get beaten up than watching the would-be victim defend himself with the best means possible.
The lesson here is that sometimes you don’t have anyone to rely on but yourself in the heat of the moment. Violence can come on suddenly and without warning. Arm yourself."

Oh, well. It's Chicago.

You can keep your money. Miculek lives in an entirely different universe than I do skills-wise. And I stopped carrying a revolver around 1991 when the agency I worked for transitioned to pistols. But I still recognize there are some people for whom they work quite well for lots of reasons. You apparently don't.

I didn't realize the coffee thing was so important to you. But even us keyboard commandos need our beauty sleep. Maybe you can find another friend a little closer.

Jerry is indeed another level. In almost every instance a revolver is a dead man's gun.

Do you carry a revolver for EDC?

You're not much for attention to detail, are you?

It's ridiculous and naive to say a revolver is a "dead man's gun". Every single day in this country I'd be willing to bet many people successfully use a revolver to protect themselves and others. Furthermore, there's a reason the big players in the handgun manufacturing world still make, and sell, thousands of them every single month. If you don't understand why a revolver might be a good choice for SOME people you're doing a tremendous disservice to those to whom you give advice and training.

"Now, the media seems far less interested in the shooting. An odd turnaround for the media who take every opportunity to hammer home the idea that guns are the problem in this nation, not something else. It’s because the identity of the shooters was released, and it doesn’t fall in line with any of the approved columns for a media-based attack.
They found that one of the shooters is gay and another is transgendered and biologically female, as NBC reported in the update about her."

Another commentary on why the liberal media is not all over this shooting and demanding gun control action.

I didn't see the magazines at Safeway last weekend. Unless they changed their location, they seem to be gone from there as well.

First they came for my gun magazines then they came for my spoons.... 8)

London police officers triumphantly announced Tuesday that they had seized a weapons cache, only to be ruthlessly mocked by Americans.

The Regents Park Police, who are responsible for a ward of London’s Camden borough, tweeted a photo of the contraband, which included an assortment of old kitchen knives, a broken fencing sword, and a rusty spoon. They said they had swooped in a day earlier at the request of a local charity to ensure the implements didn’t “get into the wrong hands.”
