Post subject:  May Pole construction Surprise

Once, there was a forum for "Barn Raisers" where I was able to expend energy on a couple folks projects, and have others help me with a garage.

Our lovely friends are planning to marry mid June. A simple, earthy ceremony in the garden.
The bride expressed a desire to have a May Pole and a dance. I've searched online and have found a plethora of ideas from temporary, semi-permanent to permanent structureswide ribbons to colorful ropes.
Would it be a surprise to assemble this May Pole for these two? Do you have any ideas? Would you like to help set this up?

This is the "trial balloon" to get this 'off the ground'

If you have experience, no experience, interest, disinterest, stupendous ideas or no idea and you wish to further this, please reach out

Merci beaucoup

The "barn raisers" group pretty much died out and sort of morphed into Neighbors helping neighbors.

This is really a great group! Hopefully they can work something out for the May Pole!

Stecat and I were talking; we know nothing about maypoles. If you find out what you want to make and how to do it, count us in to help. If it needs to be transported, Stecat's truck can handle something up to 14' (longer if it hangs out the tailgate).

What's our timeline for this?

Hello Stecat and AspenLeaf!
The wedding is mid June and their homestead Bailey.

A flagpole pole could be a permanent solution; taking on and off the wide ribbons/color ropes might make the next possibility more reasonable:

Mounting something to receive the ribbons/ropes is a problem I haven't figured out yet

Ribbon or rope? Hmm
