Can anyone suggest someone to contact about preserving older trees in peril from erosion caused by road plowing?

Let me do some research on that. I'll try to find out.

Don't be fooled by this wonderful, slushy snow. Fire season will still be here waiting for us. If you need slash cleared from your yard, or would like to help someone who does, please post here or PM stecat or me.

I'd love to get 3 or 4 strong folks to help us move a chicken coop. It's about 3ft x 4ft x 3ft, but made out of an old shipping crate, so it's probably 300lbs. Not sure hubby and I can move it by ourselves. It needs to go uphill and toward the road... maybe 800 feet total? The girls need more sun that where we originally put them. I'm happy to swap and help with someone else's project in return, or just ply you with a couple of cold beers when it's all done. :) Shouldn't take more than an hour or two.

Hubby says, "Definitely maybe"... You're welcome to come take a look at it. You'd have to drive straight up a pretty steep hill, then across the back yard. Personally, I'm not sure... We could get a pickup in to where it currently is, but from there, I'm not sure. :/

When we moved in last summer, I paid moving guys to carry it around the house. It took four of them... One on each corner.
