Last I heard is that the Bailey site is still on, but that the location didn't work out and it was put off until after the new year. It shouldn't be much longer.

The closest site currently is the one in north Golden, a couple miles north of Hwy 58/Hwy 93.

If you haven't participated yet, I really recommend that you do. I'm always there volunteering, my name is Sandy. See you there!!

I went down to arvada (somewhere 50's & Marshall. sort of I 70 & Wadsworth). The ladies their chuckled when I said we were waiting for Bailey to get set up. They wished us luck getting up and running - apparently not quick and easy. I'll tell you what the food was wonderful we made a day of it Movie etc. I may not go every time but I will keep going.

That's too bad that you came across some folks that "chuckled", which sounds a bit negative. BB is an awesome organization. I have met some really great people that I have volunteered with for the past year.

Opening a new site definitely takes some time, particularly if the planned site is in the middle of the mountains and the possible locations are limited due to weather and access.
Stay positive and a part of the future here!

I am changing to Bailey when it gets up and running one of the first ones to get signed up. Not giving up but i wanted to check it out so i went to Arvada.

The food was really great and the people were really nice. Showed me how everything worked. Even showed me other stuff that I did not order so I would know what to expect.

Not dissappointed at all. Looking forward to Bailey though.

I am not part of the group getting the Bailey site started up, but I have been involved with BB for almost a year now. If anyone wants any information on this program or has any questions, please send me a PM or ask here!

It would be on a Saturday am that you pickup. Thanks again for another great question!

Do you yet know the time on Saturday? I notice some of the other sites are at absurdly early hours (6 - 7AM with 4:30 - 5:30AM for volunteers!)" 8O

The times are determined based on the delivery schedule of the trucks. The truck usually arrives early at the Golden site, so the following sites will receive early delivery as well. My guess is that Bailey would get delivery after Golden (maybe by 8 am??), but it depends on where the truck starts.

Bottom line: no one knows what time Bailey will be scheduled for. If it's set for an absurdly early hour, that'd be a bummer, but we need to decide if we want to participate at that hour and if we want to make this program succeed.

Sounds to me the co-op really doesn't have the capacity for "excess" sites? I was really looking forward to patronizing them and getting their products. If I have to be there at 7 a.m. then so be it, I'm a morning person so no problem there. I could even volunteer sometimes at a real early hour, but in my mind the real question is, how serious is the co-op about Bailey?

I figured we'd have at least 20 customers, because lots of people here showed interest on Pinecam. I also asked around in my circle of friends and they were interested as well.

These days when we have to pay more taxes and end up with less money in our paychecks, this co-op thing would be very helpful to lots of folks.

Is the co-op going to pursue Bailey, and what do we have to do to make it work?
